And yes, after like half of act 1, the game becomes too easy, even on expert.
If you have played games before, you should probably know that there is a difference between easy and normal mode. The game even though is amazing, the characters scale so much late game, that it practically feels like you play it on easy. So no, when I play a game in normal mode I expect to to be somewhat challenging and not extremely easy.

Expert makes the timing window for parry and dodge lower, so along with scaling enemies stats up, you also have a harder time to parry or dodge.
