Game suddenly unplayable on a 4060?

I was able to play for several hours at 4k resolution with graphics at medium on my Lenovo Yoga 9i Pro which has a 4060 in it. But tying to start the game tonight, I can't seem to get it to run anywhere better than 10fps. Even with the graphics set to low, dlss set to super performance, and the resolution dropped to 1080. Trying to figure out if there's suddenly something wrong with my pc or something about the most recent updates caused performance to tank?

I cant seem to find anyone else talking about it but the update seems to of caused the game to run ALOT worse and maybe even a memory leak issue? I wasnt getting stutters before the update but now i constantly get them when im running around or even fighting enemies. I also noticed that at least in one areas as i play for over a hour the fps slowly drops like its a memory leak issue. Really annoying since day 1 it ran pretty well and this all started after the update came out

Im on a 3080ti, it was running perfectly before the new patch. Now after about 45 mins to an hour I get massive frame drops.

Either laptop's power cord got loose or you accidentally pressed fn+q (just guessing here, because i forgot to switch from quiet to performance mode once and uninstalled watch dogs legion out of frustration, game was poo anyway)

Looks like during one of my last gaming sessions my gpu must've thermal throttled and cached it. Simply shutting down the laptop and starting back up again didn't fix it. But after restarting the laptop seems like all is back to normal. So strange.

After recent patch (1.2.3) this game has become unplayable for me. Nothing changed in my PC. The same spec, no Windows update, the same drivers. New patch = game is junk. FPS drops are massive when e.g. I'm attacked, I have no chance to parry or block because of the stutter. All worked perfectly before the patch and now, I can't play this game even in the lowest settings. This is a disaster. !!

i have 4060 in MSI laptop and not even thinkin launch any game more than 2K,,,
i try DLDSR once in 4K just for science and it have crazy low fps even with DLSS...

No you're right I was at 2k, not sure why I thought otherwise. Regardless the point still stands that the game went from running ok, to barely runing at all. A restart of the system did the trick, not just a shutdown.
