Waka waka!
What did you think of the three SaGa series games released in the last year? You probably played them to support Square Enix continuing to release turn-based games.

EB has one of the most fun turn-based combat systems ever, RS2R7 was a well-received full 3D remake by the same devs who made Trials of Mana, and SF2 is a remaster with added content of a Golden Age SE RPG.
it's insuferable behaviour like this that give fan communities a bad name. have some respect for other communities.
Japan still produces a load of great RPGs though. Many of which are better than Clair Obscur. IMO Persona 3, 4, and 5 are all better. I expect 6, if it ever releases, will be too.
15 was by far the worst FF i've ever played, I got it free and it still wasn't worth continuing. It's sad when the best part of the game was the camaraderie between you and the boys, just the interactions and brotherly love between your companions. everything else was so bad
I heard 16 was actually a huge step forward, but the bad taste of 15 and the fact that I'm only able to play 1 character, and it's just an action game, makes me really not want to play it. I have no desire. Where are the journey-with-pals-to-save-the-world FF games I love so dearly? Dead. Ex33 is really enjoyable in that aspect. I just wish it wasn't so doom and gloom and emotional 95% of the time in its main story (the actual random NPC writing is hilarious).
Seems those that like it, really love it. While those that don't, hate it. I'm in the latter camp and consider it the worst FF game I've ever played (yes, worse than 13!).
8 seems to garner similarly divisive opinions though, so it's not the first time an FF game has done that.
Oddly enough SoP is actually a pretty solid game. You just have to turn off your brain and not take it seriously. It's a fun romp honestly. A really fun romp. Slightly better with friends too.
