What are the Others?

Glad you enjoyed it so much. It's refreshing as a relatively old gamer myself to have something come out of nowhere and hit that spot. Those who have seen it all don't have it happen very often.

Glad you enjoyed it :)
Would be interested to know which the other 4 best games are, venerable ancient.
I'm 42, and this will probably be in my top 10 I'd imagine. I'm finished, beat pretty much everything except 1 optional boss fight that skill wise I have zero chance to beat, and now I'm struggling to play anything else because this game was so amazing. Just an alltime great if you're a turnbased JRPG lover.

This is the generic award bait. "I'm old as f*ck and not the usual audience of video games, but this game is so good that even a geezer enjoys it. Now shower me with awards because this plays on your feelings as you identity as [enjoyer of game X]."

Tons of reviews like "I'm a 123-year-old man; my son showed this game to me, and it saved my life. I've spent the last 20 years immobile in the hospital. My days had been grim for as long as I can remember, but then, then something happened: this game. Finally, a ray of light! I can enjoy again! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was like a gift from the gods, a beacon of light to illuminate this poor old man's dark days. It also repaired the long-strained relationship between me and my son. Father and son reunited, all thanks to this masterpiece. HALLELUJAH!!!"

38 here and feeling the same. I just wish the second half was harder especially the main story content, but I'll be doing another playthrough on Expert once they're done patching and we'll see how it goes.

You don't even own the game. You're just going around random discussions on a game you don't own talking down to people? Pathetic.

I found the main story line a breeze, but the optional end bosses were hard enough for me. I still can't beat Simon and I think I'm level 97 or something like that. I thought I beat him and let out a cheer, only to find out it's typical JRPG multiple form boss fights. Like Danny Glover, I'm getting too old for this ♥♥♥♥.

I own the game as much as any Game Pass subscriber owns the game.

Seriously, this "you don't even own the game" angle is a bit outdated nowadays.

And what does it matter whether I own the game or not? It has nothing to do with the comment I left and the point I made. The game could've been any.

As someone who grew up with games like Secret of Mana, Lufia II, Shining Force and Final Fantasy 7/8/10, this game really hit that spot.

The Simon fight is worse than that, once he's down to 30% hp in his second form he wipes out your party and you have to beat him with the reserves.. But it's meant to be the hardest fight in the game, so it's fine IMO.

Probably as outdated as "I own it on gamepass" and you come to steam to complain about it.

You are putting off real cool kid edgy vibes by rallying against the majority who love this game though. So if that what you were going for, you succeeded you rebel you.....
