Can I put shoes on the shoeless person?

I find the appendages below the ankles repulsive and had to nope out of the Youtube video I was watching about this game as soon as I noticed by ALT+F4

Can I, if I buy this game, make sure this character has shoes from the first encounter?

There are some customes that gives shoes, for example the black skirt and the Indian outfits.
But why?
In cutscenes she is walking and also you can walk and she do not "fly" this way and you can always switch to another character when playing.

You can get outfits for Lune that have shoes, but you won't have them in the beginning.

Thanks. Sadly that makes this game probably a skip until there's a mod, don't want to throw up a dozen time while waiting for the opportunity to fix it.

Can you refuse adding this character to your party entirely?

Some of her outfits from the Deluxe edition have shoes, if you want that from the beginning. They're automatically unlocked the moment you get the character.

Just play up till you unlock outfits and equip one with shoes. It is what I did and I am not even bothered by feet, it is just weird AF to be running around barefoot. Pretty sure I got that outfit very early on. Might have been from the delux edition though.
