I've managed to fix my CTD issue (Crash-To-Desktop) by installing a mod called "ClairObscurFix" from Nexusmod website.
I had no mods on this game, originally.
I hope they fix it soon so I won't have to use mod just to get the game working.
what an irony...
Now starting today when I try to reload my save at the Endless Tower the game always crashes on the loading screen and I get the error. Game is literally unplayable now :\
I had consistent issues with crashing upon entering cutscenes or new areas, getting the fatal error about decompressing shaders on relaunch (sometimes even getting stuck with black screens where I couldn’t exit the game without rebooting my computer). I could barely get 15 minutes worth of gameplay before the game would crash again due to shader compilation causing CPU usage to spike.
Reading about the decompression error online and seeing that it isn’t exclusive to this game, I came to the conclusion that the crashes are likely related to the voltage stability issues on the 13th-gen CPUs.
I thought I already updated my BIOS with the microcode fixes Intel had made to address the issues, but after verifying the available BIOS updates for my motherboard I noticed Intel had made additional fixes since the last time I updated.
After updating my BIOS with microcode update 0x12F and restoring my previous BIOS settings, I haven’t encountered the crash in over an hour of uninterrupted gameplay - no issues entering cutscenes or travelling to new areas.
So for those running similar gen Intel CPUs, I highly suggest checking your BIOS version to make sure you have the proper microcode fixes for improving voltage stability.
I had also seen posts from some people suggesting lowering the CPU core ratio to “fix” the issue, but that seems too drastic of a change to lower your overall system performance just for a game… At the very least try the microcode update before attempting more extreme measures.

No, it's not your CPU. It crashes on Steam Deck also which is AMD.
