And here I am looking for adequate ways to limit myself to make game more engaging on NG+
Oh, look, it's this laughable opinion again.
Singleplayer does not mean balance shouldn't exist. If you want to just 1 shot everything cos you think its fun, get a mod that allows you to instakill or something.
The skill is there to be used. It's intended to be a single powerful hit. That has synergy with other things.
Just don't equip 100 lumina to do the 1shot build. The game is really balanced unless you min/max to a ridiculous mathematical level. It is quite literally YOUR FAULT if you 1shot end game bosses. Yes, it is meant to have synergy with things, THAT IS WHY IT'S SO STRONG AFTER BEING BUFFED, for people who min/max what it works with.
there always have a way to deal a huge amount of damage, but by a certain method.
here with stendhal you have just to use it......
Also in case everyone forgot, Elden Ring nerfed tons of skills because they were too OP (hoarfrost stomp anyone?), some that are so finnicky that it's impossible to do on a real player (they literally have to stay still for like 3 seconds), but can one shot bosses. They also patched a lot of skips by adding invisible walls and even speedrunners, the only people who abused them were ok with it because it wasn't intended to begin with.
And if you don't like it... just don't update or play on a downpatched version... it's not that hard.
If anyone was wondering, Stendhal had a 25x damage multiplier on it. Followup, Verso's big poggers single target skill, has a 20x multiplier but you have to do 10 free aim shots first before it gets there.
