If they nerf stendhal...
Can we get an option to revert back to how it was? Other people can not like being broken but it doesn't bother me...I can pick and choose when to use that skill....such is the life of painters.

I imagine it'll be a mod.
What's the point? There is no enemy that can survive from hit by any other skill, it doesn't have to be stendhal

But if you can't 1 hit everything in the game from the start on expert mode, it's a 0/10 game!!!

And here I am looking for adequate ways to limit myself to make game more engaging on NG+

You want to paint over the dev's canvas?
Lasant May 8 @ 8:36am
i agree with this, its a single player game, nerfing stendhal just takes away the fun from people who want to use the skill, and the people who think its overpowered and makes the game too easy, can just, NOT use the skill, its really that easy
When hotfix?

It's incredibly silly to nerf anything in a single-player game, much more so in this case where you can either equip 500 lumina, or 0 to make it a real challenge. I hope they read feedback and walk this back because it is nonsensical and a waste of dev time.

I don't think it should be walked back....many people do find it unfun and that's fine but I definitely think there should be an option to play the original version versus the updated one.

Oh, look, it's this laughable opinion again.
Singleplayer does not mean balance shouldn't exist. If you want to just 1 shot everything cos you think its fun, get a mod that allows you to instakill or something.

The skill is there to be used. It's intended to be a single powerful hit. That has synergy with other things.

FWIW, the devs even said in the same announcement that they're not looking to make the game unbreakable. I'm sure there's still plenty of OP stuff to use even if the most egregiously broken thing is fixed.
Right...but fixing a single player game is just....ehhh...this isn't an MMO or multiplayer game. Regardless....probably will be a way to revert it anyway through mods.

Just don't equip 100 lumina to do the 1shot build. The game is really balanced unless you min/max to a ridiculous mathematical level. It is quite literally YOUR FAULT if you 1shot end game bosses. Yes, it is meant to have synergy with things, THAT IS WHY IT'S SO STRONG AFTER BEING BUFFED, for people who min/max what it works with.

it's too strong and break the game, it need to be fix
there always have a way to deal a huge amount of damage, but by a certain method.
here with stendhal you have just to use it......
Devs can do whatever they want with their games. If they think the nerf to Stendhal will overall make their game better, then they should do it.

Also in case everyone forgot, Elden Ring nerfed tons of skills because they were too OP (hoarfrost stomp anyone?), some that are so finnicky that it's impossible to do on a real player (they literally have to stay still for like 3 seconds), but can one shot bosses. They also patched a lot of skips by adding invisible walls and even speedrunners, the only people who abused them were ok with it because it wasn't intended to begin with.

And if you don't like it... just don't update or play on a downpatched version... it's not that hard.

If anyone was wondering, Stendhal had a 25x damage multiplier on it. Followup, Verso's big poggers single target skill, has a 20x multiplier but you have to do 10 free aim shots first before it gets there.
