When you don't just 1 shot with Maelle...

You actually find other fun things to do. Right now my Lune can nearly get 3-4 turns in a row thanks to Pictos/Weapon and Sciel, letting her put out every persistent skill stacked on top of each other, all the while Typhon perma buffs everyone and gives her like 9 AP per turn.

I find Lighting Storm with that one "guaranteed crits at full stains" and "burn when crit" and Lighting Dance to be just funny to get a lot of burn.

There are so many different ways to set your party up for synergies. Maelle can be a one shot master but not the only way to be successful. Big part of why the combat is so good.
