[SPOILERS] Is this the end?
Spoilers for those who haven't finished the game.

I am now well into act III. I have had one more fight with Renoir, past the Expedition 0 flag, and now as I keep going higher up, Monoco warns to get ready, because there is no turning back. Is the next fight the end of the story? I think there should be more game progression, as I am far from having all the expedition logs, and Esquie cannot go underwater nor fly yet, but perhaps the story will stop moving forward?

Yes, the next area the story points you to go into is the end of the game. You can always return to the game as the game rolls ack to a point as if the finale didn't happen so you can finish everything.


Edit:
Wait, I just re-read your post. How can you be in Act 3 and your Esqie doesn’t have the ability to fly? Seems suspicious
