I often forget they exist.
When you find a SHAPE of a tint, you take that item to the Curator to upgrade expedition resources and upgrade that specific tint's quality (i.e. heals more, gives more AP, more HP on revive).
There are far more SHARDS than SHAPES. I believe each tint only has 2 shapes to find. I had the same misunderstanding as OP, I'd find tint SHARDS, look for them in my inventory and see nothing. Go to the expedition upgrade and not be able to upgrade. But tint SHARDS are automatically applied.
Thanks, I can't remember off the top of my head if I've just gotten shards or not. I might look up the location of a shape to see if that's what's going on. I'm about to go to the Monolith but am currently going through some side areas I skipped earlier to level up and pick up any items I might have missed.
From small to normal to large.
By the end of act 2 you should have all potions upgraded once.
The final upgrade for each potion is in act 3.
The tints you find are just increasing the amounts you can use during combat.
You start with 3 in each category and i think the max is 10 if you find them all.
Pretty much this. You get so many health related pictos, health at parry, health at attack, health at enemy kill, health at sneezing and so on.
Apart from the unlucky 1 hit kill that needs a revive potion i never use the tints at all.
"Apart from when I need it, I don't need it."
There are 3 kinds of tints. I only ever used one and thats very rarely.
So no clue why you need to nitpick my statement. 2/3 of the tints i never needed.
