Cannot progress after "find Maelle" quest wont disappear

Found the girl, however cannot progress the game further since the quest log wont update , cannot access any other locations other than high danger ones - what the eff i am supposed to to next?

The locations i see on the map i cannot access - Am I locked out or what? Tried to go back to waters, rest nothing updated quest log
