If you don't like broken skills in Act 3 install 99999 cap damage
It really changed the game for me.

Still feeling powerful yet balanced, see bosses mecahnics and actually interact with the game.

Yeah devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up balance wise in Act 3, but this mod is a life saviour.

That isn't a fix in the slightest.
It breaks the game in a different way because now big hits are worthless and the game will become all about what gives you the most number of hits per AP spent (which is unquestionably free aim shot spam).

All you do is substitute one singular strategy that is far superior to the rest for another.

Big hits is what I'm trying to avoid actually, and why is it worthless? I still use Stendhal on my Maelle, thing for this spell is not it should hit for 10k billion damage, it's that it doesn't require any setup to hit big. So it's perfectly balanced now. Same for other skills. If you haven't noticed that while looking for guides on broken builds, vast majority of skills apart for damage also have conditions when and why they hit and how much they cost and what they apply etc.

So it's not an ideal option, but far better than oneshotting whole game after defeating Paintress.

I know that, I'm talking about Act 3. It's about balancing the damage by tuning it down, not ramping it up.
Yeah, early on when I got into the cap stuff myself I was hoping for a degree in pictos. Like how others have tiers as well. 9999, then 99999, 999999...

As the other person said, now big hits are worthless instead. Basically all abilities that are "Extreme 1 hit" is thrown out. Now all that matters is getting multiple hits in. I agree that the balancing is a bit off, but this would probably mess it up even more.
Where can we get that mod ? Definitly will install it if I replay the game.

Some skill are obviously OP Maelle and Verso being the main culprit, Maelle is the worst put the pictos that give 2 turns and you can just use Last Chance to put her at 1 HP (triggering all the low HP damage and critical increase), Virtuose Stance AND give her back 9 AP for only 1 AP and then Stendhal immediatly after, Verso has a similar set with Adrenaline and his Berserk Attack these 2 are ridiculous, pair them with Sciel to speed them and give them more turns it's just ridiculous.

If you don't understand how big hits are worthless with damage capped at 99,999 instead, there is no point having this conversation. It's absolutely self explanatory.

I'll say it again. All you do is substitute one singular strategy that is far superior to the rest for another. Stendahl will be useless, as will every single attack skill in the game, and the only effective strategy is to spam free aim shots for the most hits per AP spent, followed by basic attacks with 3x Combo to fully regenerate AP.

Yeah developers should have definitely done it themselves. An oversight.
I think a 999999 cap would be better though.

It's the same story with people in the mod's comment section on Nexus. It's as if people don't do thinking in the slightest anymore.

I've seen this one some days ago, sounds like a potential NG+ contender to me, otherwise it's impossible to actually play it without creating some other limitations in terms of what skills to use and what don't. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else to kill in my ng, but I still would like to fight the "S" big baddie again.

This. I mean people are that of low game skill level they don't even understand how a big single target hit w/o prepartion is profitable.

That's what happens when people strive to one shot whole game. They gotta gid gud and actually understand the mechanics.

There's bosses with millions of health. One has ~40 million health for instance. A cap of 99.999 damage will make that boss an absolute SLOG to get through.

999999 cap would be nice but skills like Stendhal instantly destroy the purpose of 90% of other skills (other characters also have likes of it), a non-preparation skill of 8 mana which deals like 500k to 1 million without any prep or build optimization is game breaking bug of sorts.
