Anyone ever dodge or parry greatsword cultists?
Been playing a while been trying to fight them for a long time but having to resolve to running past them. One i cant dodge/parry their last attack in combo and two their infinite shield spam. I keep losing to them due to these two factors. Should i just start entirely not fighting them and give up? So far i have been able to run around them.

Maelle has a skill that obliterate the enemy's entire shield and giving you max ap plus you can attack again if it's defenseless.

Maelle has a skill called Breaking Rules that costs 3 AP and destroys all shields instantly. It’s one of the best skills in the game.

Monoco has a skill that allows to attack through shield and damage is increased based on the amount of shields the enemy has.

In terms of the parry, there’s always a sound queue. Try to really listen for it. You’ll take those losers down don’t worry.
They have just 2 short patterns to parry which leads to counter and -3 of 4 shields.
So it always has just 1 shield to break

Are they the ones that stab themselves before attacking?

I find them to be one of the easiest enemies. IIRC they only have 2 different attacks, both with fairly easy to remember patterns. No feints or anything like that in there. 1 ends in a jump too, so you can take the easier dodge option for the first 2 hits, then jump for the 3rd and get the jump counter in. Should take away most of the shields they just added.

I struggle to parry a lot of stuff but I would personally list those attacks as some of the easiest to parry in the game. I guess it really changes from peoples to peoples on what we struggle on depending of what we use to time our dodges/parries...

Also yeah, in Act 1 for shield just use Maelle's Breaking Rules skill. for later you have other options. Including free aim builds with the picto that let free aim shots go through shields directly.

Specifically talking their last attack where they do three combo I can never dodge or parry the third attack. I only ever won due to ability to tank damage. Im honestly wondering if i should restart and use every level up for HP and nothing else. Actually do the attribute have respec? If so im gonna just max everyone HP with every point.

Or just put the difficulty in story mode.

Thank you for the question/topic and thanks for the answer by Vexillarius. I tried to play with a cultist for 30 minutes not killing it but trying to just parry that last hit. It didn't look like a slam attack so I never thought about jumping till now :D

P.s. funny thing is that when it stabs itself it loses life for shields but it will get to a point it no longer has life and shields but it still survives :spacemarineshield:
