Maelle has a skill called Breaking Rules that costs 3 AP and destroys all shields instantly. It’s one of the best skills in the game.
Monoco has a skill that allows to attack through shield and damage is increased based on the amount of shields the enemy has.
In terms of the parry, there’s always a sound queue. Try to really listen for it. You’ll take those losers down don’t worry.
So it always has just 1 shield to break
I find them to be one of the easiest enemies. IIRC they only have 2 different attacks, both with fairly easy to remember patterns. No feints or anything like that in there. 1 ends in a jump too, so you can take the easier dodge option for the first 2 hits, then jump for the 3rd and get the jump counter in. Should take away most of the shields they just added.
Also yeah, in Act 1 for shield just use Maelle's Breaking Rules skill. for later you have other options. Including free aim builds with the picto that let free aim shots go through shields directly.
P.s. funny thing is that when it stabs itself it loses life for shields but it will get to a point it no longer has life and shields but it still survives
