That goes away pretty fast once you settle in, though, as it gets much better past that opening rooftop sequence.
Maybe they thought players would sprint after Maelle immediately so she can stay in front, but there's no denying it's super awkward and they need to seriously slow her down so it looks proper
Thankfully that's the one and only awkward gameplay moment in the game.
it makes sense that they would use the ingame sprint animation for that bit, so they wouldnt need to make it a cutscene and dont need to make a custom sprint just for the prologue.
and thats exactly what feels off about it. its the same running speed and animation the player uses. bc it wouldnt make sense to make her walk either, way too much distance to cover.
but it also on the other hand would make sense that they want you to start on a rooftop, bc the setting is super cool and unique and epic.
