I hope for more bored Ubisoft employee from now on
Expedition 33 director got his idea for this game when he got bored at his job at Ubisoft.
It's amazing that boredom can brings you a masterpiece like this one.

That implies there's any talent left at Ubisoft
I expect the next ubisoft to be a soulless copy of this one with pay2win, battlepass, ingame shop, pay for basics and anticheat

Ubisoft would add anticheat and triple DRM behind a mandatory launcher for a single player game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snakes

I wouldn't say they were bored, they even admit if they stayed, this game wouldn't have gotten off the ground, I'm sure they're thankful that Ubisoft gave them a way out through those layoffs.

i'm sure there's plenty but aaa games are only made by them, the design decisions are made by suits that only care about profit.
Unfortunately a lot of those "bored, but talented" Ubisoft employees don't have the ressources or business knowledge to start their own studio. So if they leave Ubi, it will be for another big Studio, or simply be unemployed. :'(

I'd be interested in hearing more about how Guillaume Broche managed to fund his studio and hire all those people?

Indeed, at least we can thank ubisoft for this

Yeah i was wondering about that too.
I mean the budget for this game was around $50 million that's not cheap, they must be really rich or there are some backers, i dunno

Well...the sequel has to be soulless...I don't want the other ending to be canon.
