Not sure if missed it but never recall it explaining exactly how Verso died? Supposedly was from a fire saving Alicia. Yet don't recall it ever going into detail on how the fire started and how exactly he died. Like did the ceiling fall and kill him or he died from the burns some time after?

They only said the fire was started by the writers, they don't go in to much more detail than that that i saw

Now that you mention it not much was explained about the writers either. Hear them a few times but never explained what there part was in it all. Unless explained in the side content.

clea explains the writers tricked and manipulated alicia due to how naive she is, and that's why clea scolds her and is so hard on her. so my assumption is they used alicia to get into the manor and start a fire with intention to kill the painters, particularly clea and renoir who lead the war/conflict against the writers. iirc its when you play as alicia in the past and she goes into the canvas and you have to keep talking to clea past the point of needing to.
