Newbie question about combat

I have some enemy attacks flash yellow. It could be attack chain for example enemy stabs themselves gets lots of guard and does 3 hit combo. For example the second hit might flash yellow. I am never able to perfect parry these. Any help on the timing or is it perhaps some type of atatck you can't parry?
What should I do?

Yellow flash symbol means to jump.

Maybe, just maybe, don't skip tutorials that pop up straight in your face. Every mechanic is explained when it occurs the first time.
Yellow symbol means you can jump and then counterattack.

Oh please I make great care to read every tutorial in all games. If I missed this one tutorial then thats ofcourse on me. but pretty human mistake I would think.

God, why are people in Steam forums always such pricks? It's so stupid of you to assume that people don't read the tutorials. There ten billion of them in this game due to the mechanics, it's easy for stuff to slip people's minds, or overlook something, or - gasp - have a real life and not to be able to play a game all day, every day, and forget some things when they come back to the game. Christ, people are so condescending for no reason.

Yellow cant be parried, only jumped, meaning you cant counterattack any combo with a yellow attack in it
