Remove from party, add to party. Starts from left to right IF you use F to start a battle. Otherwise, speed stat determines order.
Change the order they're in your party. Remove them all and re-add them. The one selected 1st should act 1st, 2nd will be 2nd, and 3rd will be 3rd.

My god man I am really enjoying the game and take back some gripes but the menu UI is absolute garbage and needs to be redone from scratch.

First strike from hitting an enemy before combat -> turn order based on party order. Then based off speed.
Boss/elite fights which you can't first strike (NOT CONSIDERING THE PICTO) -> turn order based on speed.

If you have the picto first strike, turn order will always be based on party order if you have multiple people with first strike. Future turns based off speed.

lol i completed the entire game and didnt know about this.
thanks. i relied on speed and had that act 1st picto on verso to force him to play 1st no matter what.

Want maelle to go first.
Have first strike lumina on all characters.
Doesnt work.
Changed the speed of all of them so that maelle has the highest, still doesnt work.
Removed first strike lumina from other 2, still doesnt work.
Added first strike lumina to all except Maelle, still doesnt work.
Tried to manually put them in order, still Sciel goes first.
The FACK am I supposed to do ???

I think mine is broken. I Added Lune first, then Sciel and Verso last, but Sciel always starts when initiating with R1

This is literally one of those tiny things in this game that is annoying af and could have been fixed with just tiny UI design
- Adding tiny numbers/flags like 1-3 under each party number so you know the order, OR just make it like order is left to right and whichever character you place left to right is the order.
- Also in the menu, you often don't know where you are on the screen and what you select.
- Assigning skills is kind of a mess for same reason.
ive tried everything mentioned here and nothing worked....but ill tell you how i got my order to work...dont ask why though...
Ill make an assumption here, you want Lune and Gustav to do some buffs for Maelle so that you can one shot enemies with Maelle....if thats the case you obviously dont care about health so
1. Apply first strike on every one
2. deselect gustav and maelle from your party and keep lune, then add back Gustav then Maelle. in that order..now just steps 1 and 2 didnt work for me but i did it any way
4. Apply auto death and second chance on Lune , also apply 'the one' and 'shortcut' on Lune..
5. apply auto death and second chance on Gustav
6. Do not apply auto death or auto rush on maelle

something people are not mentioning here is that high speed differences override first strike turn order so just keep that in mind.

This stuff is so annoying. Literally have a fight where you they get back full armor every turn and despite party order, pictos, or having much higher speed. The fight is forcing the character with armor break to go last after the first strike phase. Such bad design.
speed determines the order. You can quickly control speed by swapping pictos. Give Lune some high speed boosting ones. If you find first strike picto, that can do it also.
