There are a few options for monaco, i personally only used him for the achievement and dropped him, but he does work fairly well as a support, and can apply quite a few debuffs/buffs and stacking damage boosts.

But if you wanna play him as damage you absolutely want to change all of his damage to void as a start. Beyond that similar builds to verso work as he has a lot of multihit attacks and break power.
