If you do not want that... you will probably have to nerf Maelle yourself, do not use certain skills, do not equip certain pictos and luminas.
i find it funny though, so whenever Maelle does get a turn she just obliterates everything. That is in NG+ now on extreme and the enemy just can't keep up.
Still need to give Sciel greater powerful...

That's pretty cool, but Maelle is still in a league of her own.
Maelle was my primary damage dealer for much of the game because of starting in Virtuose Stance and using Fleuret Fury to stay in it. Throw in some decent parrys to launch counterattacks (while in the stance) and she was hitting for the damage cap well before everyone else.
Now, eventually the damage cap became a problem and other characters with more hits in their attacks could outdamage her. By the final two bosses on Act 2 I'd actually resorted to using free aim shots on her because it was the most efficient way of using AP for 7-9k damage each.
Then break damage limit happens.
Verso is close. I have a 1 HP build with berserker slash and phantom stars. Monoco is just there as support to die frame 1 (best friend of the hero, am I right?) and buff Verso while filling the break gauge of enemies and burning them. Then verso can Phantom Stars and berserker slash after berserker slash. He can definitely ditch 25 millions damages in a few rounds.
My highest was 56 millions.
