Gustave fighting White-Haired Man bugged?

I can’t progress the fight. I’m on my third playthrough and didn’t have this issue at all the first two times, but I can’t do any damage and no matter how many times I attack or what I do, nothing seems to happen. I’ve tried items, attacking, skipping turn, and even reloading the save file from the fight before. Is there any way around this?

Is it the first time you fight him, during act I? I don't think you are supposed to hurt him, he is expected to hand Gustave his ass. I doubt you saw a different outcome in previous playthroughs

If it's the first time facing him, the game should continue no matter what you do.

what is the issue?? its a scripted fight

Ignoring these other people... it's a bug that happens in NG++. They tried to fix it but it's still bugged for some people. You should submit a bug report about it.

I missed the third playthrough mention.

Bit strange that it happens to Renoir only in both places.
