Sos pictos activition condition ?

Also include all low health pictos.

Does these pictos active when I use the one picto to reduce my characters max hp to 1 ?

I mean if I have max 1 hp then I was full hp and not actually low hp.

No they don't work this way.
The One, will not activate SOS. Even 'In Medias Res'(which is halving your health) pictos doesn't activate it at start.
If you have shield and want to activate SOS ones u need to use Overload or Last Chance skills to drop your hp to 1.

Can I just stay at low hp from last battle to active skill in next battle ?

If I need to use Overload every battle
For low hp skill to proc.. that inconvenience.

Not really there are pictos that gives shields like Solidifying and In Medias Res, so you can survive 5 hits I think its a good trade.
