Use... First Strike which you get way back in Act 1.
Which does nothing. If enemies are hitting that many times, your stats aren't going to be high enough to one-shot them anyway.
It was a problem before with random enemies i cant beat thrown around like that giant in water or the jumping guy, but now its 10x worse since i can get everywhere.
Im not even sure if im supposed to grinf or something.
Its bad.
If you're being outsped that badly also consider equipping pictos that give you more speed. You will also want to have some defense pictos equipped and use the points saved here from defense and add it elsewhere.
There are pictos that also really help with AP generation: combo attack and energizing attack will be your main battery source.
Also, don't forget to learn the painter power ability and remove the damage cap - this lets single hit attacks become useful again. Not that multihits are bad but it opens up more options.
I spread my stats around fairly evenly during the game for everyone and specced folks based on the weapons I liked, and i found that crit is a very valuable one - don't ignore it unless you're going to invest the pictos for a setup.
If you're struggling for damage, remember that you should find ways to apply powerful and defenseless, these will magnify your damage greatly.
If you're STILL struggling, I suggest doing the party member's camp quests from the start of Act 3, specifically Maelle's. The monsters there are normal and aren't the insane chroma fights littered around the main map. There's also the tower of challenges which you can level up at.
Also it may help everyone here if you post your characters and your build!
Cheater isn't a viable option here, if OP is having trouble with Act 3 in general there's no way they're killing the giant to get it atm.
I agree.
Final Fantasy had one or 2 secret end game bosses in each game - but in this game, EVERY enemy feels like such a secret endgame boss.
>Go to place - die.
Guess I'm too low level
>Go to other place - die
Guess I'm too low level
>Go to yet another place - die
I agree with you btw.
