Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

*Spoiler* We need a DLC about Expedition Zero!
I really want to know the events of Expedition Zero. Just through the journals, the fight with painted Clea, Simon, and Verso's relationship with Julie, its clear the devs had another tragedy already written as lore for the world (maybe even the initial draft of the game).

Diving into the events of Expedition Zero could possibly give us a glimpse to how Verso came to decide to go against his painted family, see Simon fell the Axon in Old Lumiere, Clea's involvement and understand painted Renoir's motives better.

There is just already so much lore and writing that Sandfall must already have that could possibly produce an expansion for the game.

Thats cool and all but I want to know more about the outside world. Who are the Writers? How is Clea waging war in the outside world. Painters vs Writers.

This is definitely something the devs will eventually do for building the Clair Obscur universe. I'd rather see a completely new game that references Expedition 33 like how Control throws in easter eggs about Alan Wake.

Yeah if there's a DLC this is what I want.

Is there a hint towards the Axon representing Aline rather then Clea that i missed?
Felt like its meant to be Clea carrying all the weight of the family

Yeah plus we need more info how the actual Verso died. How the fire has started. I have a theory that Maelle might have been at fault and Verso needed to bail her out. It might be that Maelle doesn't know what she did and only the family members know based from how Clea is treating Maelle in the real world like shes a liability.

I believe the Axon that Simon felled is Clea's Axon. Verso has a line there upon seeing Simon "So I guess you've met Clea" I assume thats not the Clea in the Flying Manor.

Sirene is Aline. Dead axon in Old Lumiere is Clea.

Verso and Monoko directly talk about Siren is Aline at the beginning of the third act.

Isn't it already obvious how this came to be? He literally gave his reasoning for everything on multiple occasions.

I don't think Expedition Zeros story would be worth telling at this point. Their story has already been told within Expedition 33's storyline. Expanding Expedition 33's story is the only thing that would make sense in my opinion. Either that, or expending on Maelles story, or even her sisters with that war she's fighting. This war could open the way for lots of new directions when it comes to future sequels.
agree
Hopefully no DLC. Keep making new games.

I disagree.

Verso said he got tired of being immortal and seeing everyone else die, yet he still had his painted family and he became very emotional when Maelle Gommaged Alicia. From Julie's journal and him saying wanting to bring back that "one" person, shows there were still things he cared about, albeit choosing to end himself and the world in the end. How he fell out with his family is certainly an interesting storyline to explore.

Also, I am just as interested about the real world conflict between Painters and Writers, but I simply do not see the devs pushing additional content and nevertheless an expansion to tell the story about the real world, when they can make many more games about the universe. Sure, there maybe tit bits of lore dump in a potential DLC. But I simply cannot see them creating it for the sole purpose of talking about the conflict when it warrants an entirely new game.

Expedition 33 is merely a very small part of what the Clair Obscur Universe can become.

I like to think the game takes place in the same universe as Myst and that the writers are the ones who wrote the reality in which Renoir and his family live.
