Calling the replacement a random nobody is stupid. He's actually more important to the story by far than Gustave. If you must know, Gustave is actually a nobody while the new replacement character plays a huge role in the story as well as being intertwined with other characters moreso than Gustave. You just have to keep playing.
The new character is NOT a random nobody, you DO see him already in Act I if you pay attention, he is of UTMOST importance to the story, much more so than Gustave could ever have been. Every single little thing will be explained in detail as the story progresses and you will understand it all and why Gustave, ultimately, was not important to the story told in the game. Verso will be fully fleshed out as the story progresses, you will know exactly who he is, what he wants, why he wants it and why he is important.
The game is not about the things you may think it is.
Well he doesn't hold a candle to Gustave. Nothing about him is interesting in the slightest and the fact he takes Gustave's place just ruins the game entirely. Worst $50 I've ever spent. Not really worth continuing at this point.
It's not even heartbreaking. It's just plain stupid. Doesn't really make sense to introduce someone as the protagonist only for them to be replaced by someone who will never fill their shoes. Verso will never hold a candle to Gustave.
I was upset too, but kept playing. I was more mad because I love Charlie Cox and his voice. but it is what it is. It all comes back around to make sense in the story. It's not THAT big of a deal.
Sounds like you already made up your mind though. So quit playing and move on to something else. Go watch Daredevil Reborn.
Except for some minute bits I'm absolutely surprised by the quality of writing.
Not my fault the developers of this game made the stupidest decision known to man. If they're going to throw a wrench in the whole story and replace the main character, at least make the replacement likable. Not really worth playing anymore when none of the remaining characters are remotely interesting.
I mean, not many are complaining about this, especially not in the way you are. I love this story, it was emotional, well written, made me think about life and death and so on.
Maybe you should not make up your mind before you see where it goes...otherwise, quit and move on and stop whining about it.
No one ever said Gustave was the main character either :)
Nah, knowing Verso takes Gustave's place makes it really hard for me to like him. He has to try REALLY HARD to fill Gustave's shoes.
That's a you problem, he's someone else, not Gustave's replacement.
Just go play something else.
Well, if they didn't want people thinking Gustave was the main character, they wouldn't have named Act 1 after him. You must be retarded lmao whole game is trash knowing I'm stuck with uninteresting characters the entire time.
not reading all that
So you think Acts in stories are named after the main character? That's dumb. Each Act is named for a different character.
This just sounds like a troll post, no normal human could be this upset over this. Done here and moving on. You're silly.
