Unable to choose an expeditioner

Yesterday I was able to challenge opponents in the secret gestral arena and fight gestral vendors to unlock items.

When I tried today, I am not able to select an expeditioner. I figured I would keep progressing the story, but reached a stage where I need to partake in a gestral tournament to unlock a password. I can walk up to the registration desk, talk to the person, and highlight the character cards. If I click LMB on the card, nothing is registered. I can click on the back button with LMB to cancel out of it.

Is anyone experiencing a similar issue?

I'm having this issue as well, can't progress through the story because of this. Anyone found a fix?

Are you using any mods? Like ClairObscurFix? Remove it.

May be related to how you're trying to select them. Remember, you have to hold it down. Are you able to hold buttons down in other areas, like applying attributes?

It's not a bug, just confusing.

Quick answer: You have to put your mouse cursor on the Expeditioner and THEN hold LMB.

Long answer: It's confusing because your cursor disappears and selecting the Expeditioner seems like it should be with A and D then LMB. But if you do this without moving your cursor, it just unselects them. :)
