Pc shutting down in cutscenes
Been seeing some issues with unreal 5 shared. Updated my BIOS, rolled back my nvidia drivers to 566.36. I was crashing more frequently despite using -dx11 in launch options then updated my BIOS this morning and made it a good bit in without crashing. But a couple of cutscenes in and I crashed. Previously using -dx11 any of the major cutscenes the screen would just be red. Wanted to switch back to normal launch options so I could see all cutscenes, and the game seemed to be doing much better but still ended up crashing. I did have settings set back onto high since the game seemed to be doing much better, but next attempt I'll lower the settings back down. Mostly seeing if anyone has found a good resolution to the issue specifically with the computer full shutting off and restarting. My game itself never crashes.
Currently running with
Intel Core i7-10700k (Octa Core)
Z490-A Pro mother board updated to latest BIOS
32 GB DDR4 RAM
GeForce RTX 3070 8GB
700 Watt 80 Plus power supply.

The solution to most of those crashes is: Limit your FPS.
You don't have to go all the way down to 60. Just prevent FPS spikes during loading / prerendered scenes to avoid crashes. Something like 200 or less should do.

I noticed that the cutscenes lag a lot, some of them i least. Maybe your card struggles to process them. Did you tried to check graphic card usage and temp when the cutscenes are running?

If your whole PC shuts down and you have tested your ram with memory test programms already, then it's likely your PSU. It's often the last people look at but in support it most often is the PSU being faulty. Good luck

Yeah, sounds like faulty PSU

Glad it seems to not just be me. I don't remember the model of PSU I have unfortunately.

I pretty much have the same PC and had this issue for the last couple of cutscenes only. I'm using MSI Afterburner and it didn't even show any difference even though the fans were going crazy. I ended up skipping the cutscenes and then watching them on YT.

Never had this issue with any other game.
