Why is there no FSR? Bad native performance?
Why is there no FSR support?
Both XeSS and TSR look absolutely terrible.
And whats with the native performance?
Im on a 6950 XT with a 5800X3D, not top of the line anymore, but still a good system.
Im getting barely 60 fps on medium settings on native resolution. (1440p)

With the surreal amount of praise this game is getting, i honestly expected more....
Glad i got to try it through family sharing, i would have had to refund if i had bought it.

Yep, games only deserve praise if every PC set up can play it. 10/10 for me despite playing on low graphics (weak computer, so 100% my fault.)

no, i get that the gameplay is good. My brother is loving it, kept urging me to give it a try.
Thats why im so disapointed with the performance.
And that they dont have FSR support doesnt make sense either.

Bad performance should absolutely be part of the equasion when talking about a game.

I found that putting it on xess with 100% anti aliasing on a blend of high and medium settings looked 100000x better than upscaling

In all UE5 games, with FSR3 and TSR, I’ve tried, the TSR always looked much better. Can’t tell for sure but If that’s the case here as well then that would explain why devs would remove an option when TSR would do the same, but better.

Try to optimise some settings. The UE5 was designed with ps5 performance in mind and using upscaling.

Thanks for linking, i could try playing with some settings.
However being "forced" into using Upscaling i think is not acceptable.
Games should run well natively, and its lazy / bad practise to rely on upscaling to fix weak performance.
Upscaling should extend the use of lower end hardware, not be a requirement even on high end systems.

Sure, im not on the best of the best hardware anymore, but id expect a useable (~100) framerate on medium settings at least.

Technology increases. Game requirements increase. Upgrade. Your not going to get 100 FPS with that setup anymore. The fact that it will always keep going forward is what fuels the PC industry.

I'm just looking forward to reaching a point where all this Skynet AI BS stops looking like a vaseline filter (lookin at you UE5).

my PC is still what i would consider high end.
Faster than what most people have.

Yes, requirements increase, but there are reasonable increases and unreasonable ones.
This would (at least to me) would fall under unreasonable.
i shouldnt be expected to spend 2,5k or more every 2 to 3 years just to be able to play games at decent settings and framerate.

It may seem that way but games are usually optimised for ps5 first and in most cases devs need to use upscaling for the best results. The game would likely look much worse if it was running at native 4K on ps5. It’s a balancing act of squeezing the most out of limited hardware while being locked to 4K resolution. Not laziness.
We have about 2 more years before the minimum requirements will start to adjust to ps6 specs.
