Bug: Verso lower level than MC when he joins

I wasted time grinding to 35, when Verso joined, he was 25. Sounds like a mistake, rather than it being deliberate. Please fix to avoid annoying other players. This is uncharacteristically sloppy, considering the rest of the game is really well thought out.

People get xp when not in party, and you get so much XP the further you go that any gaps hardly last.

Non-party members receive about 50% of the party XP rewards, so you can play solo with Verso to catch up with the other companions. Still, you want to mix and match different party combinations anyways otherwise the gap will continue to increase between party and non-party members as your main party levels up. That is the reason we can fight merchants.

I know, it should have been an exception in this case, therefore a bug. I can't get into why without spoilers.

Design choices are not bugs.
While he does replace Gustave and uses same weapons, he is separate person, there is zero reason for him to be same lvl, if enything he should be leagues higher then rest of your team... or EVERYONE not from 33 should start as lvl1 as youre able to lvl up only thanks to the lumia converter.

It's a bug. It's inconsistent. Why does he inherit other stuff, like lumina points (I thought he was "another person??)? Poor design choice at best then, with no respect to player time.
