Level 99

I just finished the game around level 44.

Where can I farm to level 99? Am I able to do this in my first playthrough or am I forced to go NG+?

Dark shore is good to grind at your level. When you get a bit higher you can go to renoirs drafts and fight the merchant over and over. That drops luminars as well but you need to be pretty geared to do that quickly enough to farm.

NG+ is not required. There are enough locations in the game to level up. For the most part, levels will be gained as you progress through optional locations and battles on the global map. It was farming that he began already with 90 lvl. Well, I went through the Frozen Hearts location 3 times for 60+ lvl, there are easy enemies and a lot of experience.

Just by exploring everything LvL 99 should not require real effort to get to, personally am already level 90 with still plenty to explore in ACT III just by playing normally.

Don't bother about farming EXP, just play the game and all its content, you will eventually reach 80+ and once everything is done, go NG+.

You will end aprox at level 90 after clearing all content. Last levels you can easily farm at Renoir Drafts

If you want to complete everything in the game, 80 lvl will not be enough. Of course, you can have a lower lvl, but it will take too long. Even at a roughly equal level, some fights took me 25 minutes.

I farmed the last 6 levels in Renoir's Drafts, going back and forth between the two flags. Each trip is ~10m exp or so, took me around an hour.

That's a build issue, not a level issue.

Dark Shores is the best place to farm. you hit the duo just north of the flag and the trio to the east and reset, grand total just over 2mil XP in no time. Renoir's Draft has a large amount of space that needs to be covered and only 1 fight gets you 3mil xp rest is barely over 1mil then run back to the beginning for a reset (flag next to abyss makes this a slight bit better), makes it not worth.

Thank you so much Dark Shores are very good farming spot.
The only problem is that it takes a lot of time.
It took me 17 min to kill 2 monsters.

I know the location and I have completed the game yet the portal doesn't show up!!

it's in the ocean, near visage/between visage and sirene but closer to visage. renoir drafts you can farm lumina once you get the second expedition flag. the 3 enemy groups around the merchant and the merchant himself drop lumina. and if you're testing builds against the merchant you'll easily get to level 99
