4070ti + 7800x3D + 3440p x 1440p = 40 fps
Why is this game being praised so much?

What were the developers thinking? How can my hardware be offering such horrendously low performance?

-_-

With everything set to LOW - 60 to 70 fps. Just unplayable mate
welcome to gaming in 2025, take a sit, turn on dlss and enjoy fake frames

Ive got mine locked to constant 60 at 1440p 100% scaling with a 7900xt on a 9800x3d. Everything on high except maxed textures. I dont know how high it would go if I uncapped it, but the cards fans are wild.
I'm in the same boat I can't get the game to run without tons of stutter and random crashes even with all the random fixes I've seen. I'm using a 7800x3d and a 9070xt

There is no frame gen on this game so ... no "fake" frames.

I refunded the game just now. I find this unacceptable. Call me whatever but the graphics aren't really that over the top. It's like they ticked all options for UE. Director goes: "Turn all UE options on, all the bells and whistles and shxt".

The thing is, even with everything on and maxed out, its still not really you know "ooohh wooow". It looks alright but should that be sacrificed with decreasing FPS????

The creme della creme when it comes to BALANCE, fine gameplay and exceptional graphics:
THE LAST OF US
HORIZON (my fave)
GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK
ASSASSINS CREED series

Took me two friggin days after trying all sorts of engine.ini tweaks and mods for Wukong to get native 2k with 80fps. That's the minimum for me! If you want to crawl around below and about 60fps with fake resolution, get a PS5!

Wukong looks 10x better thatn COE33, even on low settings, less jaggy. Hell, even at this point I prefer Ghost of Tsushima and its simple art design. Sure no RT, advanced shadows etc. I don't need all that but it looks good and I play that game with over 150fps everything maxed out.

If this trend continues, like the new benchmark is 40-50fps with top notch gear... then I don't know. I wont support these games, sorry. My opinion.

Might want to lower textures if you are getting stuttering, I have no idea how much vram is needed for maxed, but it is possible that 16 is too little.

I also just read that on AMD disable "Anti Lag" to get rid of stutters. This is probably the issue with the 9070xt as it should perform the same or better than my 7900xt if the vram is not an issue.

modern games, modern problems. give it one year and it will run smoother. same topic was with a plague tale innocence and requiem
Epic settings, 150fps without DLSS, 200fps with DLSS quality with a 5090/9800x3D. Doesn't run that well unfortunately. One of the worst running games I played in this year actually

Ok, fake pixels if it make difference...

That's the reality of modern games. UE5 is demanding so optimise your settings for your hardware. Check how to activate DLSS4 transformer model upscaling for the best results. You probably can hold close to 120fps with optimised settings while making it look better thanks to DLSS4 transformer.

I have a 3080 but otherwise the exact same specs as you, I'm looking at the screen right now and it's 100 FPS. And it doesn't drop much below that at any time.
Imaging caring about your fps instead of caring about game design, music and mechanics. PC gamers are really strange creatures

Strange creatures who invest thousands of dollars in order to get above average framerates with native resolution. Please replace "strange creatures" with PC gaming enthusiasts.
