idk maybe try waiting for few days, look if you will have urge to play, wait for more weighted reviews from independent youtubers with critical thinking and not the hype riders.
Youtubers love it, not sure what you're talking about. You can not like a game that others love, and oddly enough, and I know this is crazy, but maybe it's still an amazing game that just isn't your cup of tea.
You people need to calm down.
The game like this needs to speak to you on an emotional level, and if it doesn't happen, then it's a clear no. No amount of hyped up pieces of information are going to fix it for you.
for example, take Larian. Instead of filling their recent games with endless wandering mobs, they make most encounters into something requiring tactical approach.
Skip battles or have auto battle to have less encounters? You literally don't have to fight any of the regular enemies in levels or on the open world map. What are you talking about? Have you played this game?
I genuinely hope you're a parody account, because I feel so much better about myself after reading your replies. "I'm a mainstream gamer" Wow...
I was going to get a refund, but I decided to just give it another go, and I'm glad I did. For whatever reason, the cutscenes and voice acting got a whole lot better after the prologue, and I grew to enjoy the combat system quite a bit. Parrying in particular is very snappy and satisfying, much easier to pull off than many other games as well.
But if you're in Act 1 and it still isn't your cup of tea, then perhaps the rest of the game isn't for you.
I just entered area with 3 wandering clay thingies. One of them dropped new weapon, another one was standing in the short pass, i.e. cant be avoided, and one didnt drop anything. So how your method of "dont have to fight regular enemies" applies here? How Larian would made this - they will have only one group of the mobs guarding the pass and 2 more will ambush you from nowhere and in the end you'll get tactical fight, pass further and weapon. Here you have 3 brainded enemies placed to fill otherwise absolutely empty area.
How do you run away from mobs on an open map? You move away from them. Also, if you hate this game so much, why are you trying to get every single weapon drop you can get? Doesn't make much sense does it?
