Also, more important than character level is managing pictos and luminas. Finding the best synergy between them will make you OP very quickly.
Finally, like in Elden Ring, your weapon's Level is very important and the weapon's strength scales with specific attributes. so it's useless to put all your points in "Might", if your weapon only scales with Luck and Agility.

You can always respawn mobs by using "rest" on ur flags, if u do it once or twice in an area as u move forward, u should be fine with progression, also do explore quite alot :) ull get some good stuff if u do , exploration is well rewarded ^^
If you follow the story, you should be about the right level.
Granted, if you can parry attacks the game becomes much easier. Parrying whole attacks and combos will grant you tons of APs which you can use for powerful abilities.
And try to look into enemy weaknesses, your Pictos & Luminas and upgrade your weapons.
