Gustav question spoilers ahead
So for everyone who is in act 3. Are you wondering why Maelle didnt bring back Gustav like she bring back Luna and Sciele?
If she think of him like a father/brother figure, why not bring him back as well. I mean he can fight too. And i do prefer his skills over Verso. That overcharge is mad good skill

My understanding of it is that after she remembered she had her paintress abilities, Lune's and Sciel's chroma was still there and easy for her to gather and then reconstitute. Gustav's chroma would've long since dissipated and couldn't be gathered in the same way.
