Fatal Error fix for me

I deleted the config file in there C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Sandfall\Saved\Config\Windows
Then launched the game and it displayed "running benchmark" for a few seconds. Then I loaded my save successfully where previously it would give me the UE5 Fatal Error every time.

If it matters my setup is:
AM5 9600X
32GB 6600Mhz RAM
RTX 5070 12 GB
2k 165 Hz monitor

I'll post this in the bug thread but high chance it will get more visibility here.

Glad it works. Someone else also confirmed it. I can't be arsed to try and isolate which setting caused this but I did notice than this file doesn't affect everything, for example my settings on post processing effects like motion blur and chromatic aberation were not changed after deleting this file

Another way that works just fine:
If it pops the fatal error, load up any other save, once it's loaded, you can load the one you originally wanted. This never failed me.

It Seems it worked for me.
I will need to do more extensive testing.
My System:
7700X
7900 XTX
32 Gb 6000Mhz CL32

I did the solution for the stutter, which disables anti-lag on both game profiles and general options on Adrelanin.
After the DX12 started to get Freezes/crashes.
did the DX11 solution, but the performance diminished, and some assets/textures aren´t properly loaded.
It seems that for the moment, AMD GPUs, should disable the anti-lag on driver level, then try this solution from OP.

The problem that I still have with an Nvidia GPU is that the game will occasionally (4 times in 12 hours playtime) freeze completely. Then when I think it crashed I alt tab out and check tsk manager which shows its ok, so then I tab back in and it unfreezes.

Once I also got stuck in the menu where you can read the tutorials/combat info etc. The game did not freeze but the back button disappeared from the screen and I could select with the controller or click things in that menu but I couldnt close it and I had to alt+f4

The game definitely has some jank thats well hidden and then pops out at random.

I'm glad I could at least get past the fatal error because I had 2 days off and I couldnt touch the game before going back to being worked to death

Still crashes for me.. it's pretty disappointing that this hasn't been addressed yet

You can also try loading a previous save and then go back and load the one you wanted. Other have told me this works in some cases. Most likely though in the end of the day its a combination of the devs fixing it and the GPU manufacturers releasing game ready drivers that work with this one.
