This game needs a "Restart fight" option
If the boss fights in this game are meant to be challenging and expecting people to struggle to the point of having a few game overs to learn the fight, then if you game over, you should be able to restart the fight right away instead of the last place the game saved. Or heck, just allowing someone to throw in the towel whenever

It becomes more morale draining when I have to wait for my party to die, get the game over, and then trudge my way back to the fight.

Swap weapons around and go back to the game before major fights. This creates a new autosave just before.

The game does auto save with amazing timing, after doing almost everything. Very rarely do I ever find myself having to do a long walk to get back to where I was. If it was more poorly used, then I'd agree with your statement. As is, I'm ok with how it is.

Yeah I agree with this. The majority of the time you are super close anyways and the resting camps are plentiful. If you are taking on optional bosses there may be reasons to force a manual auto save in some instances. But I have found this to be very rare. I'm not sure why there is long walks for some people.

You don't need to wait for your party to die. You can bring up the menu during battle and load a save.

I'll check this out next time, but also, if that's an option, then there should be just a restart fight one too.
I remember when we had fixed saved points, and no one cried about it.

Bro, I had no idea you could even bring up the menu during combat (I've literally never had a reason to, lol). I'm kinda reaching the point now where I NEED something like that cause I'm tired of running into a new boss and getting myself killed on the first turn, then having to wait for everyone is dead in order to try and restart.

Reached Stage 11 in the Endless Tower last night, so yeah... You can't really afford to screw up there since you start fighting multiple bosses at a time, lol. I'll just do this next time though and see if it works better.

I remember when you had to enter secret codes to get back to certain areas or there was no saves period. Just lives. :ReeneOK:
Yes game needs for sure a restart button it just makes the game tedious

No, it does not need it.

If anything, it needs more time to reset brain. When you do challenging fights like this, one after another, rage and frustration from the previous run affects your next run very notoriously. That's why Dark Souls is perfect in this case, you have enough time to mentally reset while running to the boss.

this is the quickest way yep. "load previous saves" during the fight will take you to just before the fight itself
