The story revolving around Maelle...
I'm enjoying the game not injecting any hate just my personal opinion. I'm also in the middle of Act 2.
So i'm Finding Maelle story a bit frustrating there is something obviously special about her. Probably the heart or daughter of Paintress I would assume. Or linked to her or the rapture in some way.
What frustrating is how long it's dragging on. Along with the old guy saying right in front of Verso you didn't tell her? Yet she never presses Verso on that? like really? Also not the first time he mentioned something similar. On there encounter yet she still never asked about that? Some example..
Like hey what was he talking about? Hey why did he seem reluctant on killing me?
Hey how come the area Gustave find me in. Looks exactly like the same place where Verso took use to destroy the Paintress heart?
I would imagine these would be good things to reflect on..
Yet instead Maelle just keeps being like i was born so different but I don't way. Like really? even if wrong figure could still venture a guess at this point.
Really hope it comes together soon cuz this obvious attempt. For everyone to tiptoe around the truth is getting annoying to me.

You ever been to a movie with someone, a movie neither of you ever saw before and your friends asking you what will happen next?

Play it out lol.

That's understandable. Perhaps it might just be that the story isn't for you? It reminds me of the Witcher 3, but on a more personal level.

Without going into spoilers, I think Maelle's character growth is really well done. She's also very relatable for those who have a hard time fitting in.

To be fair, she's a 16 year old. She does protest in the form of the silent treatment, which is made evident when you try to talk to her at camp. Verso broke their trust, resulting in a small bump in their relationship.

Verso also has a lot of self-confidence issues. Haven't you noticed how he always dodges personal questions?

By the way, if you haven't been talking to them at camp... I strongly recommend that you do.
Yeah have been, why it actually been bothering me that those things are not brought up. What are you referring to in the Witcher 3? I already played Witcher games been while. So might have forgotten. Mainly just remember the biggest twist in a way. Was when Geralt and Yen died being revived because of Ciri but had amnesia.

It's not the concept man, it's the execution i'm not fan of.

Ciri fits the whole "everything revolves around me" trope, arguably to a much stronger degree.
I would feel to be opposite I didn't think there was enough of Ciri. Also really liked her in combat wish had more depth though. Felt like would have been nice break from playing Geralt. To each own, I know some fans aren't crazy about Ciri either.
Which got me really curious on how the Witcher 4 will do.
