So I finally beat Simon...
Oof, that was one hell of a boss... anybody else who beaten him with one shot build (like me) instead of actually learning his moveset? lol

I have been figuring out for like 2 hours how can I beat him, I have went through MANY different options, but I went for pretty much just putting revive on everyone, speed pictos with as much damage passive pictos as possible and I focused on buffing Maelle and debuffing Simon with defenceless and mark and it barely worked, I managed to kill him with my 55M hit, if I didn't take like 5M of his HP already with Monoco, I would be able to one shot him, but he is finally down and I am very glad I managed to figure it out without using any guides.

I had a maximum of 1 million with the strongest attacks, reached 1/3 of my health in its second stage, and I was erased. Then I went to pump Maelle, accelerated her to 8-13 million damage and went only with her help to the second stage, until she was erased, and then killed the boss with the help of backup.
I killed him for 8 hours, considering the time of the farm

I knew that I would spend HOURS on this boss as well, but because in these games it's very common, maybe even necessary for some players to make one shot builds, I just went with this way instead. I just had to be lucky with my turns and with the roulette.

I also missed 25% more damage because I didn't equip picto that will increase my dmg when the enemy is burning and he has like 8 stacks of burn so I could have made it a bit easier for myself this way as well, but it worked with not perfect at all build as well, luckily.
I just debuffed the hell out of him and focused my entire build to break him so he never had a turn. On god i could never get a counter attack off

I didn't even really try parrying in his 2nd phase because it's almost impossible lol.

I'd really like to see a video of the kill with no cheese in expert :) Could be a 8 hours mental breakdown video.

Technically, he is cheesing though, because it is the silly "Power one up." thing.

I spent the same amount of time on it as I did on that stinking volleyball... 2 hours.

I didn't even do that hardest version of that minigame because it's not needed for any achievements and I don't use those swimsuits at all so... easy skip from me lol, it's not worth it because it's very broken.

Are you sure you don't need it? The achievement for all games is protected without it?

I did every single Gestral Beach minigame, even all the difficulties EXCEPT that volleyball one, I only did 2/3 difficulties there and the achievement popped when I finished the climbing wall minigame, that was the last minigame for me.

Yea I get he is the hardest boss but no normal human can counter his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Then he just wipes your party when he is losing lmao
I did manage to beat him legit without one shotting, though still my best 1 single hit damage was around 20 million.

Still I did learn to full parry his long combo.

I find it strange that in one game you have the ability to change your build and playstyle in order to solve a problem for yourself, but in another you completely refuse to do that.

yeah I beat him without cheesing him. I went out of my way to not use gommage, or monka's lampmaster light infinite scaling. used verso lune and sceil for first party and monaka/ maelle for second part because if you fight him like intended he will delete your first party when he hits about 1/3rd hp left with "removes the expedition from the canvas" and then power up his sword to do 2 extra hits on his phase 1 attacks.

was a fun fight. its kinda sad that with zero real setup gommage does 20 mil to him. I can only imagine the damage if you used it on the op billion damage build. I used it on him once, was really glad it didn't outright kill him, so I lost the fight on purpose so I could fight him without doing that. fun fight.

In one game the game is built for one shot builds, in the other game if you manage to make a one shot build, the game is broken... that is probably all I am going to say.

Pretty much in all the turn based games you want to got for as much damage as fast as possible, same with ARPG games, why would you want to spend like 5 seconds fighting a white mob if you can spend 20 minutes of your time making a build and clear screens of all kinds of mobs within a second. Some games are just made for it.
