Upgrading weapons

I just started act 3 of the story, and my question is: How do you upgrade weapons past level 19? I saw that you need a new material, but I don't know how or where to get it. I've been exploring the world and doing optional content, but nothing so far.

As you play the newly available content unlocked by the new traversal you will get materials to upgrade, as well as finding already upgraded versions of weapons, both new and ones you already have by defeating enemies throughout the new areas.

It's difficult to get started but keep looking and make sure to use the new picto/lumina gained from the end of act 2

You should of been getting those materials before act 3. Not a lot of them, but definitely some of them. I think at the end of act 2, my weapon on my Lune was level 23 or 24. She's the character I pooled most of my resources into cause I normally drift towards mages lol.

At the end of the game I had ~190 of this material. And I didn't buy it from merchants, only loot from monsters.
You can upgrade all weapons to level 32, but only 5-7 to level 33, since the last material is limited in quantity.
