Do achievements unlock retroactively?

If i started on a non-steam platform and buy the game on steam now do all achievements unlock retroactively?

Uh, don't think so. Xbox pass and steam doesn't share versions for the most part and the only way to get it to work on steam from an xbox save, is to jerry rig the files.

If you want the achievements without having to get them again you can just get steam achievement unlocker to unlock the ones you had

that defeats the entire point of achievements tho, i don't collect them to show them to anybody, they are only for myself but are pretty much the only reason i buy a game for the last 2 decades since they got introduced on the 360... i'll just stay on my copy
