One question about the story (spoiler first 4h)

Hi all,

I just met back Maelle in FW so I'm on the firts 4-5hours in the game.

I just dont get why is no older people on Lumiere, i mean, at the begining of the game the 34yo people disappear, but the ones who are now 33yo the next year will be 34yo, so they pass throught the Paintress "snap" to continue with their lives...

. I dont know if this is commented later on the game or i missunderstood something about the story.

you misunderstood.

the number that the paintress paints is the "death number" anyone that is that number or older will go poof.

there is no loophole, the number only changes once a year which is when they hold the "festival" saying goodbye, but at anytime throughout the year if you age into that number you go poof.

I dunno try to open your eyes when read dialogues maybe. Maelle said to the Gustave at the beginning that she cant believe that Sophie are 33 years old already and looks younger than he. That means that Gommage took all whos 33 y.o.

"try to open your eyes when read dialogues maybe" Well, thanks for your positive actitude answering my question, I obviously read that dialogue, and still dont get it, thats why I put the question here.

The game and its lore is fantastic so I know I have to be missing something, I just was asking what it was.

No, that is not how it works. People that turn 33 after the 33 gommage get erased with the 32 gommage.

Number on the monolith erase people with the same age(When number changed to 33 Sophie whos 33 y.o. was erased) Main heroes are 31 years old, cause thay said a lot phrases that they have 1 more year to life. After 1 year number on the monolith will be 32
