Report a translation problem
To be honest, either parry should innately provide some minor damage reduction when you fail it or you should only need to parry certain amount of attacks in a combo to get counter out--for example: 3-hit combo would require all 3 hits to be parried, 4-hit combo would require 3, 5-hit combo would require 4, 6-hit combo would require 5 and 7-hit combo would require 5 and so on.
I've been relying on visual cues ever since, because that is always consistent.
