Scaling / Level Experience with NG+?
Just wondering if any that already did NG+ could share their experience. Like at which level they went into their NG+ and if the early enemies put up any fight or not. Or at what point the enemies became challenging in NG+ with the level you had at the time.

I finished my game and am now not sure if I want to fully explore the optional things first or directly go into NG+ and do the optional stuff later. For the last main zone of the game I was too overlevled from doing optional stuff and the fights were too easy to feel good. So not sure what's a good level to go into NG+ with and if I'll make my experience worse by doing too much optional stuff before starting the NG+

Ima be honest. You should get everything thing you want from optional areas in Act 3. Some bosses drop good weapons that you wont get until your next NG+ cycle. I mean why not just spend som time and grab it rn.
DO THE OPTIONAL THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are even bits of story to be found in the optional levels. And some really good pictos or weapons. Do not enter NG+ before you have cleared the map. It makes no sense to skip to NG+ before that.
Like I mentioned, cause I'm worried that the NG+ fights will be boring and unengaging if I'm too high level. Since that happened to me with the final zone and made the final boss rather underwhelming. Kinda killed the immersion to have a big final boss battle and kill him in barely 2 turns.

My thought is that all the optional things are still gonna be there in NG+ so I can look forward to more things to discover without making the early NG+ experience too easy.

Im in the NG+ first area and they are weaker than the Act 3. The brute golem enemy only had 150k. HOWEVER, with that said all Act 3 optional boss first im sure are going to be significantly tankier at this rate. So if you want to save your cinematic experience and dont want to be OP then just go NG+ i guess.

Hardest optional boss has like 20 mil HP in base game, but can still get 1 shot. So idk. If he doesn't have at least 100+ mil HP by the time i reach him, then difficulty is out the window.

EDIT: yea bro just go to NG+ its already pretty damn easy. However be warned, it resets quest items (music, journal)

Seems like no one can give you a direct answer

Thanks, that was quite helpful to have a rough estimate. Think maybe I'll just start a new save instead for a second playthrough, steamrolling through fights for a full playthrough does not sound very fun. I'll give it a try with NG+ first but if like the first chromatic and story boss are oneshot I'll probably just do a fresh start instead. (not doing one of the millions-of-damage builds that I heard about, but still doing a lot within few turns)

It takes until act 2 for NG+ enemies to not instant die and even then it's nothing like the 1st time around with all those picto passives.

Simon NG+ has ~95 mil HP. So yea, a fresh play through might be the best option instead of NG+ in terms of difficulty

For me, on my first playthrough, Simon had around 246mil hp

Really? Ive been seeing different numbers from everyone lol. Im guessing he gets more HP from levels or increase HP with his abilities. IDK either way. I def 1 shot him on NG+ with only ~100 mil dmg

When i first fought him on NG1, he definitely had around ~20-25 mil hp. I fought him at a lot lower level than you at the time time.
killed him at lvls 89-94, he had 45m hp on normal game expert difficulty
The difficulty of NG+ enemies assumes you didn't do any of the optional content and went straight for the final area.

I did all the optional stuff and ended up being level 90+ and was easily 1 shotting everything. I'm at the part where I gotta fight the axons, still easily killing everything.
