You can just go and try, your level should be enough if you're somewhat decent at the game's combat. There isn't any point of no return, so if you go and fight a bit and it seems too much you can still turn back and go level up in other places.
The final mission is designed with people in mind who only did the main story bits. You will never be underleveled. Of course you will make things for you substantially easier if you are higher level with more pictos and lumina to choose from.
Your level sounds about right for the final mission. But maybe do not rush things and explore the world. One combat arena you can find can substantially boost your XP and levels. And you need them for the optional bosses in the optional regions. If you did not go there you would even miss out on some story bits that add to the overall picture.
