Jokes aside I like sciel character. Though I like maelle over all story arc.
In many countries across the globe age of consent is 16 or even younger. In my country it is actually 14 (several European countries have 14 as age of consent). In France it's 15. And that means any girl that age can enter into a relationship with an adult (person older than 18) if she so chooses.
It is jail bait in the US maybe, but most countries are not the US (drinking age is also considerably lower in most countries around the globe, you can buy beer and drink it in public at 16 here where I live). And the devs are French ;-)
Redo the maths, she's 16. :-D You have to remember that the number on the monolith goes down each year while Maelle gets older, so it's 33 now, Maelle would have another 8 years and would die aged 24 before the monolith would show her age. I.e. at age 24 she would go on the expedition and die as soon as the 25 on the monolith turns into a "24". Could be close to 9 years of life, depending on when her exact birthday and the gommage is.
Maelle literally says she's a teenager in the game. And later on you are explicitly told she's 16.
i didn't believe that only 12% of high schoolers were proficient in math until now.
shes 24 if your not counting down the pillar.
she'll be 24 when she leaves on her expedition if she didn't join the current one.
