Uh .. it's exactly the same thing? Might also shows you how a number goes up, but not how much this number actually does when you attack. Defense shows you how a number goes up, but not how much that actually reduces your received damage. Agility also makes speed go up by a number, but how much that number matters you can't really tell if you don't know how fast enemies are.
The only stats that clearly tell you what you get out of them are HP and crit chance.
^----This! Thanks <3
You can even on the hardest difficulty just oneshot most things with nigh infinite turn cycle.
Even the parry mechanic is just whatever at the midgame.
Maelle if specced right just oneshots most bosses and if not you can cycle to her again with sciel and ignore the dmg cap in the early game. Mid to late game it gets even more absurd when you can actually do 10-20 times the dmg the boss actually has as hp.
Dunno why they even bothered to include heals/def stats or hp via stats.
The game is pretty poor at explaining how its systems work. They just throw you on a stat screen and you gotta make important choices with zero knowledge.
