This is probably what's causing it. Thank you.
If you can get Lune to go first and apply burning, then with critical burn and then Verso applying Defenceless+Powerless pictos that increase crit chance by 25% per relevant debuff+your base crit you can get a free +75% crit chance modifier for the rest of your party while Verso can always get to A-rank in one turn and then start spamming Phantom Stars back to back the next turn if you don't get hit.
Dualiso with the energizing attack also means you recover 3 AP per attack. It's crazy good.
And even if it does less potential damage than flawlessly playing Contorso or Lanceram, the amount of debuffing and attack repeat opportunities to apply multiple free aim shots to remove shields or break weak parts really sets Dualiso apart as an amazing weapon.
Until you can get Combo Attack+lv20 Dualiso perk for easy rank A, you can always run Paradigm Shift for action point economy until then.
Then Perfect Break+Phantom Stars+Recovery are core skills, the rest are up to you based on utility, I like having Marking Shot to boost Maelle or Monoco with their skills that get augmented by marks.
The only other character who deals with shields as well is Maelle, but Maelle can't spam free aim on ranged enemies or weak points like Verso can.
Fyi with the 'combo attack' picto 3 ap becomes 5.
