BG3 all over again.
Yeah, so I don't want to get into spoilers, but I would say that there is a lot more depth to the combat than I see people giving it credit for, especially after act 2. Reviews from people early in the game are likely coming from people frustrated and confused about the parry/dodge systems. Fair enough. It's not an easy game. As someone who has beaten every From Software game (and many other soulslikes), I am finding this combat to be very rewarding and enjoyable, more so the deeper into the game I get. Put it this way: I hate turn-based games. I really do. Yet I'm loving this one.
I could see people having issues with the gameplay, depending on how they approach their party and build-crafting, but 16 hours in, I would not echo those sentiments at this point. I will make sure to update and/or leave a final review once I've completed the story.
