No manual saves is becoming an issue.
It's my only issue with this game otherwise it's a 10/10. Plus the quick save feature can be a bit unreliable at times & not as accurate as I'd like in certain instances.

I missed an incredible weapon for Maelle that let's her start in Virtuous stance, but I have 0 way of reloading a save to get it because I progressed too far.

What really irks me is that hers is the ONLY weapon that can be acquired in that one instance or by beating a superboss at a much higher lvl. Both weapons for other characters can be found by other easier means...which is a very odd design choice IMO.

You can't go back or try again? I've seen nothing so far that couldn't be tried again later.
I have that sword but idk where it dropped.

If you don't choose Maelle in the fight against the "stranger" you're only choice is to challenge Golgra. Which is intended to be fought at lvl 50 since she just 1 shots me right now. I've heard rumors about that specific weapon dropping elsewhere, but all internet guides say those are the only 2 ways to get it as of now.

Technically you can't "Miss" the weapon, but you can miss the chance to get it early & destroy a lot of early to mid game enemies. By the time I get it late game It probably won't be as useful.

Missing this weapon is painful. Check how far back you have auto saves. The game has an option to reload old auto saves. When you check deeper it will show you the last three but you can scroll down for many more. There is a chance you still have it. Good luck.
It’s one of the best weapon in the game that will speed up grinding. Especially for lvl9 and lvl19 weapon upgrades.

hmm I have the sword and i haven't fough "golgra" or "stranger" yet.
You're the 2nd person i've heard say this, yet nobody remembers exactly where they found Medalum lol. Plus I'm surprised nobody like Fextralife has discovered alternate methods.

I wasn't aware there were more than 3, so that's good news at least. But now that i'm thinking about it, I completed that segment around mid act 1 & now i'm starting act 2. I'm not even quite sure if i'd want to go back that far lol. If the file is there, i'll debate on it.

EDIT: Just checked, my oldest auto save isn't anywhere close to that segment lol

I believe the issue lies less with no manual save, and more with missable items. It would be good if Devs could offer alternate ways to obtain those items.

It's a mixture of both for me, but solving one problem would essentially fix the other. If there's no OP missable items, I won't need old saves. If I have the ability to save scum, I can most likely go back for items I missed.

It's exactly why when I play games like Metaphor or Persona I have numerous amounts of manual save files just for situations like these. Backtracking progress sucks, but at least i'd like to have the option.
