On to reality, what CPU are you running?
I have a 4080 super on my old rig--it handles high/epic settings fine (>80fps 1440p), but my cpu was a bummer.
Been screaming at top of my lungs:
UE5 works older cpu's like a ragged dog. Mine was one. Bottle-neck Ave. it was. Near 98-99% utilization while running the game. Temps were crazy high.
ps.: No need to create multiple threads of the same topic and always just write one very short stupid sentence -.-
don't know what to tell you man. your pc is old. if you want better frames it's time to upgrade.
What CPU and other specs?
What resolution are you playing on?
What issues? Low framerate? Stutter? Freezing?
Must be some other issue.
Potato GPU. SMH gamers this days want to run outdated gpus and expect top performance.
What goes around comes around... Good luck with 40 series.
my in game graphics settings.
epic: textures.
high: aliaasing, shadows, visual effects, shading.
medium: global illumination, reflections.
low: foliage and post processing.
off: motion blur, vignette, grain and depth of field.
my scaling type is dlss and set on quality.
vsync is on and i set settings to 120 fps, but with the nvidia app i lock it to 65.
from beginning to end of game it maintains mostly that unless in stuff with lots of details the lowest i seen is 42 fps for few secs.
for stuff in off the question is how movie like you want the game to look? foliage in any game even at time i get brand new gpu i always set lowest or off if possible since that screw with performance hard depending what it is and how much it moves. basically anything that moves alot will affect gpu performance. if i dropped aliasing, shadows and lower my scaling i could be around 80-90 fps; maybe more if i also lower textures to high but those stuff i compromised to maintain above 60.
also if noticed why i lock at 65, to prevent it from dipping under 60 at certain moments or else scene will start hiccuping. so i always maintain 3-5 fps above the 60 if i can.
neither i've had issues with AMD Radeon 7600 at 1080p on Arch GNU/Linux too
this game can even run OK at medium/low settings on the Steam Deck
